Engineered oak flooring and Modwood decking from Big River Group provided the perfect finishing touch at an upmarket boutique apartments project in North Sydney.

Designed by PBD Architects and built by TQM Design & Construct at a cost of $35M, The London Building is a small 9-level boutique building featuring contemporary European architecture. The building, completed in March 2014, offers 47 residences, 2 retail suites, a communal gym and rooftop BBQ and facilities for residents.

For a luxurious and resilient finish, Big River’s engineered oak flooring and Modwood decking were used in the apartments and alfresco balconies. Armourform F14 and Truform LVL by Big River were also employed during construction. This modern juxtaposition of building elements, textures and materials creates a bold presence along the streetscape. Framed masonry elements break down the massing of the podium and provide a transition between neighbouring buildings.
