BAULDERSTONE Hornibrook is about to commence work on the $650 million Martha Cove project, 60km south of Melbourne on the Mornington Peninsula.

The contract awarded to Baulderstone Hornibrook by property developer CP1 Limited is for all civil and engineering works on Stage 1 of the project, valued at $40 million. Work includes all bulk earthworks for the canal system leading up to the harbour, including groyne and breakwater construction and dredging, construction of the major canal and boat harbour, all sub-divisional works, internal roads and service reticulation.

Martha Cove, being developed by Marina Cove Pty Ltd, has a development permit for up to 1150 residential dwellings, 600 marina berths, 200 dry boat berths, commercial and retail space, and tourist accommodation. The project is being developed in five stages.

The stakeholders in Marina Cove Pty Ltd are CP1 Limited (40%), Fish Developments Pty Ltd (40%), Martha Cover Resort Pte Ltd (Singapore - 10%), and a private investor (10%).
