Baines Masonry Blocks is building a new block manufacturing facility in Appin, NSW to meet the rising demand for blocks from their growing customer base. The company already offers an extensive range of masonry blocks and has plans to introduce new blocks to begin the next chapter of growth.

The construction of the new block manufacturing facility is progressing well with the kiln structure completed, the wall panel installation and roofing finalised, and both internal and external ductwork installed. Noise insulation sheets have been utilised to soundproof the machine room, and all the roller doors have been installed. Masonry blocks manufactured in-house have been used for the retaining walls, bunding areas for admixture storage, and the oxide dispenser enclosure. Overall, approximately 90 per cent of external concrete work is complete.

Power connection, painting, vinyl flooring installation and amenities fitout have all been completed. The curing system from CDS- UK has arrived while curing racks made by Mercer Engineering and DJ Hobbs Panel 'n' Paint have begun to arrive at the site.

Baines Masonry Blocks thanks the building and construction teams from Devone Construction, Illawarra Design Company and ROC Engineering as well as all the companies involved in the project for their hard work and commitment.

The project is on track for the formal opening in 2019.
