AUSTRALIAN Pump Industries has released a new cast 316 grade stainless steel self-priming pump designed for food industry waste pump out.

Called the Aussie GMP Model BKQ2A, the corrosion resistant pump offers major advantages for waste sump applications.

User benefits include the ability to pass solids in suspension, without clogging the pump, and ease of maintenance because the pumps are mounted above the pit with easy access.

The 2" pumps can handle up to 600 litres a minute flow and pass up to 19mm spherical solids.

The pumps have a maximum head capability of 20 metres. Their self-priming design gives them the ability to draw water from 6 metre depths.

The new pumps use cast 316 grade stainless steel because of its corrosion and erosion resistant characteristics. They are fitted with silicone carbide seals as standard equipment and come with an easy clean out port mounted underneath the front suction case to allow easy service, without breaking pipe work.

The pumps are available with close coupled single or 3-phase electric motors with an option in bare shaft configuration.
