AUSTRALIAN Pump Industries has declared war on weed infestation with the launch of the new Bilby Mark II packaged ag spray kit.

The Bilby consists of a Honda powered high tech 25 bar sprayer (360psi) mounted on a 200L UV stabilised tank.

The unique, low cost sprayer offers the additional advantage of having an integrated hose reel with 30m of high pressure hose supplied as standard equipment.

"The integrated hose reel enables the safe stowage of high pressure hose," said Australian Pumps’ Design Engineer, Matt Dale.

"30 metres of hose means 30 metres of range around the spray kit for spot weed spray."

The unit uses the popular advanced design Aussie Spray-It pump driven by a Honda state of the art 4 stroke petrol engine.

The pump has a body manufactured from high grade, impact resistant polypropylene with stainless steel pistons and viton seals and elastomers.

The machine offers a built-in unloader/pressure regulator that automatically bypasses liquid back to the tank when the nozzle gun in shut.

The valve also enables the operator to have infinitely variable control of the pressure from 0 bar up to 25 bar and right through the range.

The kit is supplied with a suction hose with strainer for supply of liquid to the pump and a bypass hose for dumping back to tank .

Australian Pumps say that the Bilby Mark II is a huge step forward compared to low volume, low pressure 12V systems used for similar applications.

"The Bilby is ideal for both professional and hobby farmers as well as use by shire councils, road maintenance authorities and other operators of parks, gardens, playing fields, golf courses or bowling greens" said Mr Dale.

The versatile kit comes with its own adjustable spray wand that can deliver a range of spray patterns from direct jet to fine 160° mist.

The Bilby can be easily mounted on trailer or ute or even fitted into a standard garden yard trailer.

For 180° spray angles Aussie offer their unique Boominator nozzle kit. This turns the Bilby into a virtual "boom spray", but without the boom and is both conventional and cost efficient.

A comprehensive catalogue on the Aussie ag spray equipment is available from Australian Pump Industries or distributors throughout Australia.
