Mechanical lock systems from Assa Abloy have been installed at the Waterfront Congress Centre in Stockholm, Sweden to secure offices in the public areas. The Waterfront Congress Centre is Sweden’s newest and most versatile venue for large scale meetings and events. Locks and security solutions from ASSA ABLOY were specified particularly for their flexibility and convenience.

Located across the water from Stockholm’s historic city hall, the Waterfront Congress Centre combines office, congress and hotel facilities in one location. The Radisson Blu Waterfront Hotel, a 414-room hotel is directly connected to the conference venue with every hotel room door featuring a VingCard RFID Classic lock, as well as Elsafe in-room safes.

The Waterfront Congress Centre sought a security system that could work throughout the conference venue as well as the Radisson Blu Waterfront Hotel for convenience and accessibility. The client also wanted a system that could easily be integrated and upgraded in the future.

ASSA and VingCard lock and security products have been installed across the centre’s facilities. ASSA ABLOY Hospitality provided the Waterfront Congress Centre with an ASSA master key system, as well as an ASSA ARX access control system for perimeter protection.

According to Anders Edblad, Chief Engineer for the Stockholm Waterfront Congress Centre and Radisson Blu Waterfront Hotel, the ASSA and VingCard solutions offer their facilities the flexibility and convenience needed to provide the best access for their guests. Having a common system to support both the conference venue and the hotel rooms makes it easier for access to be programmed on the same card.
