Artemide Australia announces the addition of a new range of LED pendant lights to its distinctive contemporary lighting collection.
The new Scopas is designed by Neil Poulton exclusively for Artemide, with the design breaking the mould from traditional forms of pendant lighting. Neil Poulton has drawn inspiration from science fiction imagery to design the Scopas LED lights.
Neil Poulton’s characteristic design aesthetic is evident in Scopas where the repetition of a simple element creates a sphere that visually seems to be partially formed. The resulting array of modules emits a constantly changing appearance within a room that varies with the sculptural and unique effect defying traditional pendant lighting typologies.
Scopas is constructed from black painted aluminium with injection moulded thermoplastic diffusers, and features an LED light source with a maximum power of 80W.
