Aqua Cooler has experienced high growth, particularly in its Industrial Chiller division since moving in 2005.

The new facility located at Chester Hill in the heart of industrial Sydney has provided the industrial chillers team with the ability and drive to continue producing industrial chillers of high quality.

Since moving to its new premises in spring 2005, Aqua Cooler, one of Australia's largest water cooler and industrial chillers manufacturers has experienced outstanding growth, particularly in its Industrial Chiller division.

The new facility located at Chester Hill in the heart of industrial Sydney has provided the industrial chillers team with the ability and drive to continue producing industrial chillers of high quality.

Aqua Cooler has always been renowned within the industry for producing high quality units. This quality assurance is evident in all aspects of the manufacturing process, including the new and extensive testing facility located at the manufacturing headquarters.

Aqua Cooler prides itself in ensuring that every unit it builds is put through a rigorous series of tests including a performance test at 45°C ambient, before it is packaged up and sent to a customer.

While the move to the new premises did play a role in the continuing growth, things really took off for the Industrial chillers division after they exhibited at the Air Conditioning, Refrigeration and Building Services (ARBS) exhibition in 2006.

The exhibition is held every two years alternating between Sydney and Melbourne. Aqua Cooler hopes to continue this growth by exhibiting in the ARBS exhibition in Melbourne in 2008.

In addition to this, Aqua Cooler's continued growth facilitated the need to expand the industrial chillers division, and recently, Aqua Cooler welcomed the appointment of two new and very experienced members of staff. David Wilkinson has joined Aqua Cooler as the Engineer Director.

Equipped with a wealth of knowledge and having worked in the industry for a number of years, David is a valuable addition to the team and works closely with Peter Swan. Another appointment that took place towards the end of 2006 is that of Graeme Hall.

Graeme joined Aqua Cooler as the Industrial Chillers sales and client services officer. He works tirelessly, handling all quotes, orders and customer enquiries. He too, is a valuable addition to the chillers division.

Aqua Cooler has two main styles of chillers, the R-Series the T-Series, both built to withstand the harsh Australian climate.

The R-Series units have an integrated buffer tank to absorb changes and give a constant load for the chiller to operate effectively. It also has a wide range of applications including mining sites, medical equipment (cat scans, x-ray MRI machines), and food processing. Features of the series include:

  • Polyethylene tank with internal drain valve
  • Stainless steel multi stage pump with bypass
  • Hermetically sealed compressor
  • Indoor and outdoor installation
  • Digital thermostat
  • Chilled water between 5°C and 25°C (lower temperatures can be achieved if glycol is used)

Aqua Cooler's customers value their units being Australian designed and made, and with the units being rated to 45°C ambient, they have confidence that the unit will be able to handle the extremes of the Australian climate. Following on from the introduction of the R-Series,

Aqua Cooler released its T-Series into the market. Unlike the R-Series package units, the T-Series is perfect for those customers who wish to use their own buffer tanks and pumps.

This difference from the R-Series makes the T-Series a more cost effective cooling solution where flow and heat loads are constant.

Other benefits of the T-Series include the ability to have tandem installations for larger capacities, and features that allow for the easy addition of chillers that may be required if expansion of the facility takes place in the future.

In addition to building units able to withstand scorching Australian summer days, the other advantage of being an Australian manufacturer, is that Aqua Cooler is able to provide extensive technical back up and service to its customers.
