The Gallery House development in Hamilton, QLD combines gentle curved balconies, high ceilings and expansive glazing to deliver spectacular riverfront living to its residents.

Unique commissioned artworks inspired by the riverfront location join with uninterrupted panoramic views to offer a visual feast for the eyes at the Gallery House development in Brisbane. On the outside, the residential complex occupies a prime waterfront position on a curve of the Brisbane River, while on the inside walls are adorned with a series of artworks by Australian artist Sam Chirnside, inspired by the natural elements and riverside location.

Designed by Cottee Parker and built by Multiplex, the complex consists of two towers: Gallery House One is 20 storeys with 169 apartments, while Gallery House Two is 19 storeys with 150 apartments and ground level retail space. Residents enjoy shared amenities including a rooftop infinity pool with panoramic views, an outdoor barbecue and entertaining area, and a rooftop garden.

The development includes three categories of apartment luxury, named for their respective views and with different levels of finishes: the City Collection (featuring Brisbane city views), the River Collection (Brisbane River views) and the premium Sky Collection, occupying the upper level penthouse and sub-penthouse apartments.

All three types of apartments feature full height windows and sliding doors to maximise natural light and views from the waterfront location. Alspec framing, fabricated by Queensland Facade Systems played a key role in achieving the aesthetic and functional objectives of the architects.

Alspec’s ProGlide High Performance sliding doors provide easy access to the generous balconies and are ideal for the residential environment, with their sound-reducing properties, durable nature, and ability to easily span large openings.

Hunter Evo 150 double flush glazed framing was used for fixed window framing, providing the benefits of double-glazing to suit the building’s urban environment, adjacent to the Portside Wharf commercial complex. In addition, the Hunter Evo framing presents architecturally pleasing sharp unbroken lines, supported by excellent all-weather performance credentials.

Alspec’s high performing Swan Evo 45mm commercial doors were installed in pivoted, hinged and sliding options at common area access points. Specifically designed to withstand the rigours of commercial environments, the modern appearance of the Swan Evo doors also complements the high end aesthetic of the building.
