Perspex Pearlescent Azure shapes from Allplastics have been installed in the entrance area of Westpac’s newly opened office building at Barangaroo in Sydney.

Designed by Geyer, Westpac’s new office features shingles in an overlapping design on the curved walls of the forum and reception areas. Different materials have been used to represent various elements of nature with timber panels of varying shades, contrasting with the occasional vibrant glossy shingle and the iridescent shimmer of the Pearlescent Blue Perspex laminated to MDF panels. The installation was executed by CIVARDI Furniture.

The shingles are made from 3mm thick Perspex sheets with a mitred 19mm edging, so the panels appear to be solid with a lustrous sheen.

Perspex Pearlescent acrylic sheets offer designers and specifiers unlimited design possibilities in point of sale, display and visual communications, as well as in furniture, apartment numbers or interior cladding. Featuring a softly shimmering lustre, Perspex Pearlescent sheets can be fabricated and thermoformed, and are also easier to cut and recycle than glass.

Perspex Pearlescent acrylic sheets come in a standard size of 3050 x 2030mm with 3mm thickness. Colours available in the range include Azure – Blue; Pearl; Candy – Pink; Platinum; Caramel – Gold; Antique Pearl; Copper Pearl; and Argento Silver (special order only against minimum quantity).

Allplastics offers a 10-year warranty to cover internal and external applications.
