Akril decorative glass panels were originally designed as an alternative product to painted glass. They are half the weight of glass and 40 per cent more economical.

These glass panels can be used in residential and commercial projects with applications such as:

  • Showers
  • Laundries
  • Kitchen doors
  • Walls
  • Areas where direct heat will not be applied
  • Wet areas
  • Decorative panelling
  • Practically any vertical surface

The decorative glass is made from engineered polymer enhanced with colour. It has a higher heat distortion than standard polymers, up to 100 degrees celsius, which means that it can be used for more design applications. The decorative glass is also environmentally friendly as it is recyclable and uses less energy to produce than glass.

Akril decorative glass comes in the following range of designer colours:

  • Arctic breeze
  • Green mist
  • Flamingo
  • Lemongrass
  • Magnolia
  • Mocha
  • Mushroom
  • Sterling silver

  • Winter storm

Depending on the size of the particular project, the decorative glass can also be colour matched to suit the customer's specific requirements.

The panels come in three sheet sizes with varying thicknesses. The 1000 x 2000 mm has a thickness of 4 and 6 mm, the 1220 x 2440 mm sheets also have a thickness of 4 and 6 mm and the 1025 x 3050 mm sheets have a thickness of 6 mm.

The decorative panels have a ten year UV warranty as standard, are durable, abrasion resistant and scratches can be polished out. It is readily available off-the-shelf, flexible so it is easy to work with and simple to install as no special tools are needed to do the job.
