Air Springs Supply offers a range of collapsible pipe stoppers that can compactly fit around obstacles, corners and into previously inaccessible areas of surface, underground and underwater pipelines.

Available in custom-fabricated and stock ranges, Pronal Uni-Plug collapsible pipe stoppers are especially recommended for low pressure applications. The collapsible pipe stoppers are water-tight and easy to install for maintenance, testing and emergency tasks. Air Springs Supply is the national distributor for the Pronal range.

Pronal Uni-Plug collapsible pipe stoppers are suitable for pipe repair, insulation of areas for welding, sealing of mine levels and isolation of risers in factories, power plants, water utilities and various industrial, resources and municipal infrastructure.

The reusable Uni-Plug collapsible pipe stoppers are made from reinforced fabric coated with synthetic elastomer and can be easily transported. Different types of Pronal stoppers are available for high pressure applications.

According to Mr James Maslin, Sales Manager for pneumatic actuation and isolation technologies company Air Springs Supply, conventional stoppers are often at a disadvantage in space-constrained pipelines serving complex industrial and infrastructure structures such as desalination and municipal water plants, power plants, mines and offshore rigs.

The Uni-Plug collapsible pipe stoppers on the other hand, can be collapsed into confined spaces and then inflated at the place where they are needed, making them suitable for these applications.

Uni-Plug collapsible pipe stoppers are complemented by optional accessories such as inflation lines, flexible bypass hoses, vacuum indicator, thermal protection, control valves and gauges.

Pronal Uni-Plug collapsible pipe stoppers are produced in stock diameters from 50mm to 1600mm with larger custom-fabricated sizes available for particular applications. The pipe stoppers are advanced technology products from the world-renowned Pronal, which produced the enormously strong inflatable bags used to lift sections of the Titanic from nearly four kilometres deep in the Atlantic.

Pronal also manufactures inflatable emergency, rescue and maintenance equipment used by industrial, military and civil defence organisations worldwide, including transportable water and fuel tanks in addition to lift cushions designed to raise equipment ranging from crashed aircraft to mining plants needing maintenance.
