Four custom rugs were manufactured by 1956 by Tai Ping for the bar and reception areas at InterContinental Melbourne The Rialto.

Joseph Pang Design Consultants commissioned 1956 by Tai Ping to manufacture four custom rugs for the bar and reception, opting for richly coloured rugs to distinguish the areas. The rugs are made from 100% type 66 Nylon for proven resilience and ease of maintenance. Three of the four rugs have been hand-carved to create luxurious highs and lows on the surface.
