Australian Aluminium Finishing  is the contractor for ultra-high grade anodising for a new building project: the Shanghai World Financial Centre, a skyscraper due to open in mid-2008.

At 492 metres and 101 towering storeys (and with 377,000 square metres of space and 33 elevators) it is only 18 metres shorter than the tallest building in the world.

Australian Aluminium Finishing secured the prestigious contract to provide ultra-high grade anodising for 7000 aluminium panels on the podium level, a highly visible part of the building.

With colour consistency and quality specifications, the panels are being coated and anodised-finished at Australian Aluminium Finishing ’s Sydney plant, then shipped to Shanghai for installation.

The panels are anodised to rigid production parameters of thickness, sealing and hardness, as well as colour and gloss specifications.

The project is a model of contemporary high-rise architecture and construction technology, with 70 office levels, a five-star hotel, luxury retail space and even a museum.
