The launch of the large format 32" MicroTouch ClearTek II touch screen by 3M Touch Systems, has expanded of its ClearTek capacitive touch screen product line.

Available immediately, this ClearTek II touch screen is a new addition to 3M Touch Systems' series of large format ClearTek touch solutions, ranging from 24" to 32" display sizes.

Larger sized displays enable casino game manufacturers to design the next generation of large format slot machines. They are suitable for casino operators, who can provide eye-catching and dynamic interactive applications for their guests.

"3M is committed to delivering innovative solutions to meet the emerging requirements of the gaming industry," said general manager, 3M Touch Systems, Terry Jones.

"As interest grows for large format touch displays in casino games and hospitality applications, 3M recognises the opportunity to provide new solutions for all venues within the casino operation."

The result of extensive research and development, the 32" ClearTek II touch screen is designed specifically to meet physical and functional requirements of large format, portrait-mode slot machines.

The screens complement the recently announced 40" Dispersive Signal Technology (DST) product as another ideal solution for the emerging large format digital signage needs of casinos.

The optimised optics of ClearTek II, smoother-than-glass touch sensation, reliability and high endurance are the critical features of the large format touch screen.

"Our large format touch solutions continue 3M's strong tradition of innovation," said global marketing manager for 3M Touch Systems, Larry Loerch.

"These large format offerings are ideally suited to satisfy the needs of casino managers - both on hospitality applications for interactive signage and point of information, and gaming applications for emerging slot machine designs - while delivering easy integration and more flexibility in order to enable creative applications."
