Fall protection specialist 3M, has acquired Single Rope Technique Equipment (SRTE), a leading rescue equipment supply business in Australia.
3M, designer and manufacturer of height safety and fall protection equipment has formally signed an agreement to acquire the assets and operating business of SRTE.
SRTE is a leading supplier of rescue equipment for emergency services entities across Australia. The company also meets the equipment requirements of the mining, oil and gas, and utilities industries in local as well as international markets.
Operating out of Padstow, NSW, SRTE’s product range includes caving and rock climbing equipment in addition to high-end rescue and access equipment specifically designed for the industrial market.
Through this acquisition,3M will supplement its rescue, rope access and arborist product range, enabling it to supply a more comprehensive range in Australia as well as providing a launching platform for the products in international markets.
According to3M CEO Anders Pettersson, the SRTE acquisition has given them a significant foothold into the industrial rope access and rescue systems markets in Australia.
Boris Rogelja, CEO and owner of SRTE adds that 3M’s portfolio of innovative products combined with the SRTE product range will enable their products to reach new markets.
