Fall protection equipment specialist, 3M introduces a new and improved range of fall protection lanyards featuring a lighter, stronger and smaller design.
Manufactured using some of the lightest and strongest components on the market, the new DBI-SALA Force2 shock absorbing lanyard range features Hi-10 energy management material, one of the smallest shock packs in the world, light and strong connector combinations, durable REPEL technology webbing, and a rugged and durable soft cover with protected labels.
The new Hi-10 shock pack is 66% smaller and 40% lighter than competing products. Consisting of high tenacity fibre energy management material, the Hi-10 is resistant to abrasion, moisture, chemicals and cuts, and uses less than half the material content seen in competing products.
Rick Millar, Technical Manager for Capital Safety Australia & New Zealand explains that their new product development is mostly based on specific requirements of customers. The new Force2 range features a stronger, lighter lanyard with a wider range of connector options,  and an unobtrusive shock absorber that doesn’t get in the way while working.
REPEL technology water repellent webbing used in the construction of the lanyards reduces the attraction of mould and dirt, leading to better abrasion resistance. The lanyards are also equipped with an expanded range of lighter and stronger connector combinations, including new triple action karabiners, snap and scaffold hooks to meet the demands of all industry applications.
The range also includes the all new WrapBax lanyard, specifically designed to withstand the rigorous requirements of tie-back applications, making the application simple, fast and efficient.
DBI-SALA’s i-Safe intelligent safety system utilising RFID technology is built into each product in the Force2 shock absorbing lanyard range to track inspections, control inventory and manage information. The Force2 range meets all the strict requirements of the AS/NZS 1891.1:2007 standard.
