The Look Green Home Design Awards by James Hardie are designed to reward and promote sustainability, affordability and innovation in residential design.
Prizes include trips to the world’s biggest green building conference, GreenBuild in Phoenix, USA, and at a time when promotion to the marketplace is particularly valuable, features in The LookHome™ Design Annual and Houses magazine.
Any designer, architect or builder can enter homes they have designed and/or built. Entry is free and closes on July 24, 2009.
Submissions must demonstrate how your project achieves an energy rating of at least 5 stars (or in NSW be Basix-compliant); was designed using materials chosen with regard to their embodied energy and impact on energy efficiency, the health of occupants and the site; incorporates lightweight construction; addresses affordability in the cost of construction and/or running and maintenance costs; and demonstrates an innovative approach to design.
Winners will be announced on myLOOKHOMEtv in October.
