Warren and Mahoney has expanded their Sydney team with the appointment of Claire Matheson, associate principal, and senior associate Tom Vandenberg.

Claire Matheson joins Warren and Mahoney with over 20 years’ experience working at the forefront of commercial and sport and recreation design across Australia and the UK. Most recently working for Australian architectural practices Fender Katsalidis and Scott Carver,

“Any doubts there may have been joining a new firm during this time of COVID-19, have been convincingly allayed by the practice’s continuing confidence and capability as they strive forward,” says Matheson.

Tom Vandenberg joins the practice from Grimshaw, where he held the role of project architect on the competition-winning Green Square Pool project – Sydney’s largest pool complex since the 2000 Olympics.

“I’m looking forward to working alongside the talented team at Warren and Mahoney to achieve the best outcomes for our clients and contribute to the practice’s growing portfolio of projects here in Australia. The work the practice is doing in the Sports and Recreation sector is leading edge and I’m delighted to be part of the team delivering the exciting projects they have been commissioned this year,” says Vandenberg.

Studio principal Sven Ollmann says he is thrilled to welcome Claire and Tom to the team in Australia.

“Both Claire and Tom demonstrate strong leadership and expertise, particularly in the Sport and Recreation sectors.

We are confident they will both play an integral role in building our portfolio of clients and projects in Australia.”
