Urbis has appointed highly-regarded urban planner Bruce Colman as a director, bringing over 25 years of experience in managing complex planning projects.

Colman is a qualified Town Planner with expertise in large scale greenfield development, strategic planning and major land rezoning, with a keen interest in the Western Sydney.

As the former director of Land Release at the NSW Department of Planning Industry and Environment, Bruce has an immense passion for creating new, sustainable communities, particularly in the land release areas of Western Sydney.

“Sydney has recently witnessed some great initiatives in relation to Strategic Planning and setting the framework for growth. We can now see the Greater Sydney Commission’s wider vision and District Plans being translated into Precinct Plans,” says Colman.

On his appointment, Colman says that, “Within Urbis I see an exciting opportunity to work from the new Parramatta office to provide strategic advice to clients in relation to land release and growth in Western Sydney. Urbis has a wide range of skills and services which are well placed to meet the needs of a rapidly growing region.”
