Architects Kelly Geldard and Dax Yem are newly-appointed partners of bureau^proberts’ Brisbane-based architecture practice.
Liam Proberts, bureau^proberts managing and creative director describes Geldard and Yem’s appointments as recognition of their contribution to the practice to date. “These are architects of the highest order — equipped to deliver our clients not only leading design but efficient and effective processes at every stage of their projects.”
Geldard specialises in front end design concepts, primarily focusing on residential projects, including private homes, investor-led multi-residential towers and boutique owner occupier residential apartments. “I enjoy the challenge of creating spaces that are unique and comfortable places to inhabit and create a home,” she says.
“I’m equally driven to make a positive contribution to the urban landscapes in which our projects reside. My goal is always to deliver the best outcome for both the site and the client’s brief.”
In addition to residential design, Yem also works across retail and education projects.
“Experiencing the delight our designs bring to school communities, developers, and home owners makes what we do rewarding,” Yem says, adding that, “Architecture should never serve our own egos as architects, instead our focus must always remain firmly on the people who engage with the buildings and places we design.”
