Hames Sharley has appointed Luciano Saladino as Principal to its leadership team, who joins the practice with some 20 years of experience as a project leader and design manager.

Holding an extensive background of complex architectural and engineering projects across multiple portfolios, Saladino will look to grow the practice on a natural scale.

“Luciano brings together a unique understanding of applicable codes, standards, and design and construction regulations which means he can look at projects from every angle,” says Hames Sharley Senior Associate and Melbourne Studio Leader, Elise Miles Simonovski.

“He has a unique understanding of budgets, processes and resources combined with advanced design skills. We are looking forward to Luciano delivering responsive design leadership and mentoring our team and our future projects.”

Saladino’s recent project experience includes the RAAF Darwin Estate Base Planning Project, Taree Police Station, 35 Scott St and Westend Oval Griffith Sports Redevelopment.

“I am eager to work with a company that has a great pipeline of diverse work and one who champions innovative design with a point of difference,” says Saladino.

“I’m excited by the opportunity to contribute to Hames Sharley’s growth nationally. This role combines my passion for designing great spaces with the joy I get from using my mentoring and leadership skills to nurture and support a team.”
