Arcadis has expanded its Global Cities Team with the appointment of Jacqui Banks as City Executive Melbourne.

Banks has considerable experience in urban renewal, precincts, place-making, planning, urban design, and building and infrastructure delivery in a leadership role.

Most recently she led the planning and development of the Fisherman’s Bend Urban Renewal Area, Australia’s largest urban renewal project.

As an adviser to a Victorian minister for Planning, Banks had also worked on planning policy and delivery at local and state government levels.

“I’m very excited to join a company that shares my passion to bring a human focus to major infrastructure projects," she says.

"We can’t design and build in isolation; we have to ensure the urban environment around infrastructure meets the needs of communities and businesses."

“Jacqui’s strong planning, policy and precinct-level experience will bring an additional perspective to our clients in Melbourne so that they can maximise the social and economic outcomes of their investment decisions," adds Arcadis’ Australian cities director Stephen Taylor

“Arcadis’ passion is to improve quality of life, and key to that is an absolute focus on creating great places for everyone who experiences our cities.”
