David Holliday of Woods Bagot’s Adelaide studio this week celebrated 50 years of continuous employment with Australia’s largest architecture firm.

Beginning life at Woods Bagot on 20 January 1965 as an architectural draftsman, Holliday has since grown to become an administration authority and, more recently, a Senior Associate at the Adelaide office, which is where the now global firm first began operating.

“David sits in a unique place within Woods Bagot’s 145 year history and it is indeed very special that someone would invest their whole working life with one firm,” says GMD Ross Donaldson.

“He is the carrier of a stable element in the culture of the practice, especially in Adelaide which is, after all, our home of origin.”

“What a changed firm he has witnessed and a unique perspective he has. We should all be picking his brain for the multitude of stories which sit within this history.”
