The Built Environment Meets Parliament (BEMP) NSW, a milestone forum between industry and government is being organised at the Parliament of New South Wales on Thursday 11 August 2016.

Urban Growth NSW, the NSW Government’s urban transformation agency, will be the Principal Sponsor of the event which is being coordinated by industry association Consult Australia in consultation with BEMP NSW Partners, the Green Building Council of Australia, Australian Institute of Architects and the Planning Institute of Australia, with the support of the Australian Institute of Landscape Architects.

The overall theme for the forum is ‘The New Great Australian Dream: How can we deliver quality urban living?’.

Featuring a great line-up of speakers, BEMP NSW will focus on presenting new information and insights into how urban environments are being considered to deliver better design, planning, policy, funding and infrastructure.

Representing parliament as political speakers will be Peter Poulet, New South Wales Government Architect, Chair of the Greater Sydney Commission, Lucy Turnbull, and Minister for Planning, Robert Stokes, among many others.

Chair of the Australian Institute of Architects NSW Country Division Sarah Aldridge will be joined by National President Ken Maher in representing the Institute, and they’ll be joined by seven other keynotes who’ll be speaking on behalf of the built environment.
