The Buchan Group has promoted Senior Designers Hang Xu, David Fantini and Abhijit Parasnis to its Associate group. The company says the appointment of the new Associates affirms its ongoing commitment to the development of future talent and increasing the diversity of its leadership.

Congratulating the studio members on their appointments, The Buchan Group CEO, David Martin said the new Associates were part of their next generation of leaders, who have displayed exceptional commitment to their valued clients, colleagues and the studio.

Hang Xu

Hang has been involved in architectural design, design development, documentation, contract administration and document control on a wide range of projects including residential developments, mixed use schemes, and commercial, cultural and industrial projects. She has over 20 years of experience in Australia, New Zealand, China and South East Asia.

Since joining The Buchan Group in 2006, Hang has worked on the Westfield London; The Mews Brighton, Melbourne; and the mixed use tower comprising of a Sheraton Hotel and luxury apartments at 27 Little Collins Street, Melbourne.

David Fantini

With a diverse range of projects in Australia and internationally to his credit, particularly in the high-rise residential sector, David has gained experience working alongside various professionals including architects, government approval bodies, designers and consultants. Some of his residential and mixed-use projects include the Vogue South Yarra and The Mews Brighton.

Abhijit Parasnis

Abhijit brings over 17 years of design experience to his new role including 11 years at The Buchan Group. Designing and delivering world-class retail, hospitality and mixed use projects, Abhijit is currently leading the expansion project of Australia’s largest shopping centre, Chadstone. His expertise in retail master planning with a focus on sustainability has helped him guide a number of redevelopment and refurbishment projects through complex design, planning and heritage processes.
