Choosing a retirement or aged care home is not just about finding a place that offers good lifestyle options, but also one that has been designed well.
Then there is the actual geographic location of the home.
According to RiskWise Property Research CEO Doron Peleg, retirees base their decisions on three important factors: suitability of the area to their changing lifestyle; affordability; and ability to deliver long-term capital growth.
Based on these factors, RiskWise assessed a large number of areas around the country and identified the Top 7 geographic places that presented a good balance between lifestyle, affordability and potential capital growth for a retired person.
While two of these places are in Queensland, three are in NSW, and one each in Victoria and Tasmania.
