Economic trends and sustainability progress in the polyvinyl chloride (PVC) value chain will be explored at a two-day conference in Sydney next year.

Organised by the Vinyl Council of Australia, the PVC AUS 2018: Shaping the Future conference will feature technical and commercial presentation streams, along with plenary sessions and panel discussions. The event will follow the Council’s first conference in 2016.

“Our second conference provides a unique opportunity for Council members and their stakeholders to share knowledge and identify the challenges and drivers for the future,” says Sophi MacMillan, chief executive at Vinyl Council.

Among the 2018 speakers will be Eddie Kok, senior director at IHS Chemical; Arjen Sevenster, technical and environmental affairs senior manager at the European Council of Vinyl Manufacturers (ECVM); Nigel Jones, technical manager at Australian Vinyls; Dane Tallen, technical sales manager at Baerlocher UK; and Helen Millicer, recycling projects manager at Vinyl Council.

The conference will take place at Sydney’s Amora Hotel Jamison between 13 and 15 March.
