Cbus Property has appointed Probuild to design and construct 443 Queen Street in Brisbane.

When complete, the $370 million development will feature a linked twin tower, with an open fan-like structure sitting atop an elevated car park.

The development will also have a permeable, layered, subtropical appearance with extensive sub-tropical landscaping on the façade of the building.

The 47-storey apartment tower, and the majority of the car parking levels will be elevated above a what Probuild is calling a “generous and open public domain”.

It will also feature 264 apartments, public open space at the lobby and laneway levels, including passive recreation spaces, as well as new pedestrian connections between Queen Street and the Brisbane River.

“This is an incredibly unique project for the City of Brisbane and Probuild is motivated and ready to bring it to life,” said Probuild’s Queensland managing director, Jeff Wellburn.

“We are a leader in high-rise residential projects nationally, having both Sydney and Melbourne’s tallest residential towers on the Probuild workbook. We will be leveraging this experience to deliver at 443 Queen Street.”

Construction is anticipated to commence sometime this month and completion is set for 2020.
