Paul Kelly Design has been appointed by Harbord Diggers as the interior architect for the hospitality precinct of their $200 million redevelopment project. Competing against some of Australia’s leading hospitality architects, Paul Kelly Design won the tender for the interiors of the project which has been designed by a consortium of architects and landscape architects including Architectus, CHROFI and JMD Design.

As interior architect of the new Harbord Diggers club, Paul Kelly will be responsible for guiding the overall atmosphere of its various restaurants, lounges, entertainment areas and gaming floors, and transform the venue into a world-class leisure and entertainment complex.

Honoured to be a part of this historic project, Paul Kelly observed that it was a huge responsibility to maintain the iconic Harbord Diggers club’s deep-rooted legacy while also creating a vibrant and modern venue that can stand the test of time.

Construction on the new Harbord Diggers precinct is well underway, with the club planning to unveil the first stage of the precinct to the community in early 2018. Harbord Diggers remains open throughout the redevelopment phase with a rooftop bar and restaurant, downstairs dining café with outdoor alfresco seating and regular events.
