HDR | Rice Daubney has announced the appointment of a new leadership team which will include a new managing director and a leader for each of the firm’s market sectors.

Stephen Auld has been announced as the new Managing Director, taking over from the co-founder of the practice John Daubney who has stepped down from his role as Managing Director. Daubney will, however, remain connected with the firm as he assumes the role of Executive Chairman for HDR | Rice Daubney.

The leadership team also includes Susanne Pini as Director of Retail/Mixed Use, Ronald Hicks as Director of Health, Jonathan Croft as Director of Defence, David Keenan as Director of Education, Science and Technology, and Darren Tims as Director of Major Projects.

This transition has been underway since Rice Daubney Architects joined the global design practice HDR in October 2013, creating one of Australia’s most awarded architectural practices, HDR | Rice Daubney.

Following the integration with HDR, Stephen Auld says they have already expanded into new markets such as Education, Science + Technology, and are now reaching beyond the Australian continent to Asia and the Middle East.
