Words about cities are not enough

The Green Building Council of Australia (GBCA) announces an exciting line-up of speakers for the upcoming panel discussion in Sydney on the future of cities.

Home to three quarters of the population, Australian cities are the powerhouses of national productivity and prosperity. A new national discourse is emerging around cities as the engine rooms of economic growth. Given that the decisions made today will have consequences for decades to come, planning and policy making will determine whether the cities of the future will be smart and sustainable or dreadful dystopias.

To be moderated by Susan Lloyd-Hurwitz, Chief Executive Officer & Managing Director, Mirvac, the discussion will feature the Hon. Anthony Albanese, Federal Shadow Minister for Cities; and The Hon. Rob Stokes, NSW Minister for Planning.

The panel discussion, ‘What makes a city great?’ will be held on Friday 27 November 2015, 12:30pm - 2:30pm at Sofitel Sydney Wentworth, 61-101 Phillip Street, Sydney NSW 2000, Australia.
