Turner and Associates have designed an $88-million, nine-storey residential tower for Sydney’s inner-west suburb of Ashfield, which has seen 12 years consecutive population growth.

Located on Liverpool Road close to shops, restaurants, schools and public transport, Crown Ashfield will include 101 apartments, many with uninterrupted views of Sydney’s CBD and the Sydney Harbour Bridge.

The building will comprise a selection of apartments including loft-style double-storey apartments, a grand lobby lounge and internal atrium, a theatrette and a piano room. The ground floor will have four retail spaces to service the Liverpool street pedestrian traffic.

The property, developed by Crown group, is located nine kilometres from Sydney’s CBD, six from The University of Sydney, 10 from Sydney’s airport, 300 metres from Ashfield Mall and 750 metres from Ashfield train station.

Crown Group’s Chief Executive Officer Iwan Sunito said his company purchased the 168 Liverpool Road site for development after recognising Ashfield as a strong growth area.

“Ashfield is becoming increasingly popular with property buyers for its proximity to the CBD, good schools and universities, a lively restaurant scene and convenient lifestyle amenities,” he said.

Ashfield Council has reported a steady population growth for the area since 2003. The apartments are open for sales in March and are slated for completion in mid-2016.
