Mirvac Group (Mirvac) partnered with Woods Bagot to convert old bank vaults into state-of-the-art end of trip facilities at its flagship asset, 367 Collins in Melbourne.
Originally built for the Commonwealth Bank in 1973, the 32-level commercial tower located between Elizabeth and Queen Streets in Melbourne is now home to tenants Optus and Sportsbet.
Named ‘The Nest’ in reference to the local peregrine falcons that reside on level 33 of the building, the facilities have been designed for the tenants of 367 Collins to provide a high level of comfort and convenience with a fully integrated zone of secure lockers, WCs, showers and change areas in a comfortable and luxurious purpose-built space.
Lead designer at Woods Bagot, Hazel Porter says the team worked within the existing building fabric to employ architectural symmetry to bring the new spaces to life and encourage active participation of tenants through contemporary amenities.
According to Hazel, the space is designed for the discerning user with high level finishes and bespoke joinery throughout the EOT space reflecting the contextual reputation of Collins Street and providing a highly coveted amenity within a competitive leasing market to further enhance the value of the asset.
