Melbourne based architecture and interior architecture practice Architects EAT announces the appointment of James Coombe as their first Associate Director. The promotion recognises his contribution to the practice, and is aligned with EAT’s continued business plan of expanding in the residential, hospitality and tourism sectors both in Australia and South East Asia.

Welcoming Coombe into the firm’s leadership team, Albert Mo, Director of Architects EAT said that the appointment will help them focus on strengthening their existing clientele. EAT is now planning an expansion into South East Asia, with Coombe staying to take care of the Melbourne studio.

A 10-year veteran in the practice, Coombe is well known and recognised for his body of work in the residential housing and multiā€residential apartment building segments. The recipient of the 2012 Dulux Study Tour, Coombe trained under Albert since he was a student. Coombe is also an architectural photographer.

Coombe started working at Architects EAT almost a decade ago as a student, and has seen the firm grow from four to 20 staff. He now looks forward to growing the Melbourne studio further in this direction alongside undertaking projects in international sectors.
