Master Builders Australia announces 2016 National Excellence in Building and Construction Awards

    Nicholas Rider

The winners of the 2016 National Excellence in Building and Construction Awards have been announced.

Organised by Master Builders Australia, the awards acknowledge excellence in the building and construction industry, and are divided into a number of categories.

Nominations for the housing and commercial/industrial categories are submitted through State and Territory Master Builders associations which have their own awards processes. The State and Territory Award winners in their nominated categories become finalists for the National Awards and are judged accordingly.

On the 2016 Master Builders list includes the construction teams behind the widely-celebrated Geelong Library & Heritage Centre in Victoria, the City of Perth Library and the refurbished 20 Martin Place in New South Wales, as well as design and construction teams CPlusC Architectural Workshop and Steele Associates.
