Following the recent announcement that 17 buildings by Le Corbusier are to be added to the World Heritage List, radio broadcaster Monacle 24 has devoted a show to the topic of architectural preservation.

Monacle 24’s latest Section D podcast, a program devoted to the review of design, architecture and craft, takes an in depth look into why architectural preservation is so important and speaks with a number of organisations like the Twentieth Century Society, Victoria Albert Museum in London, and the Cooper Hewitt Smithsonian design museum in New York City to find out why.

The discussion swings from the progression of concrete preservation to the idea of architecture intellectualism and who should decide which buildings are worth saving.
