Projects by Tallwood Constructions impressed the judges of the Western Australian Awards, taking home two of the top awards of the evening.

Hosted by Australia’s largest residential building organisation, the Housing Industry Association (HIA), at Fraser’s Restaurant, Kings Park, the Western Australian Awards recognises some of the best projects from the five regions of the State – the Kimberley and Pilbara, the Midwest, Perth Metropolitan, the Great Southern and the South West.

This year’s winners and finalists were commended for high-quality finishes, clever design and innovation.

Bunbury-based company Tallwood Constructions took out awards for Renovation and Addition Project Home of the Year for its unique and challenging renovation beach house project in West Busselton, as well as the Special Purpose Housing of the Year award for work done on the Cancer and Respite Centre St John of God Hospital in Bunbury.

The winning West Busselton beach house offered a unique opportunity for Tallwood Constructions to challenge themselves. A two-storey, five-bedroom luxury beachfront house built on the existing footprint of the home, it demanded a brand new luxury finish with the client seeking to modernise a very dated holiday beach house by adding resort style luxury and maintaining a liveable home for the whole family to enjoy.

Having won 26 South West and State HIA awards in the last 5 years, Director of Tallwood Constructions Alex Campbellattributes their ongoing success to consistency and attention to detail. Tallwood focuses on ensuring the best possible experience for clients during the construction period and for years to come, as they help translate their vision into reality.
