A leading supplier to the locksmithing and security industries, Lawtools
is supporting TAFE Queensland SkillsTech by equipping the Eagle Farm Training
Centre with the latest cutting edge equipment for use by security technology
students.
Lawtools Managing Director Daniel Law observes that TAFE Queensland
SkillsTech students will be working in the training workshop on the same equipment
used every day by tradespeople in the workplace.
For instance, Lawtools’ laser engraver will enable students to switch
from manually engraving keys to an automated process using a laser and template
on the laptop. The automotive key cloner also allows easy replacement of
electronic keys in an efficient way.
TAFE Queensland SkillsTech General Manager Mary Campbell emphasised the
need for similar partnerships with various industries so that students can train
on equipment used by professional tradespeople in workplaces across Brisbane
and beyond.
She added that the high quality facilities, equipment and teachers at TAFE
Queensland SkillsTech have resulted in job-ready students who are already on
top of the latest trends in the security technology sector.
