Safety in Action Perth concluded successfully at the Perth Convention & Exhibition Centre recently with industry professionals checking out the latest in technology, knowledge and innovation from exhibitors.

Produced by Informa Exhibitions, the two-day Safety in Action Perth exhibition was seen as an essential event for all mining businesses, given the state’s focus on their large and lucrative mining industry in conjunction with Western Australia’s Safety Reform Strategy.

Perth has experienced radical economic growth in recent years with a number of booming industries including mining and construction expanding rapidly; with the growth of mining production up 192% and construction also up 134%, it is the industry’s duty to ensure the safety of their workers.

With a population of over 2.5 million, the need for safety within Western Australia is only becoming greater and Safety in Action Perth aims to cater for the hundreds of thousands in employment wanting to stay safe.

Director of Safety in Action Australia-wide, Tony Francis was thrilled to be back in Western Australia. Happy with the positive feedback, he said the Safety in Action show received immense support from WA based companies.

The two-day event saw over 100 exhibitors showcasing a comprehensive range of the latest safety-related products and services from across Australia. Safety in Action Perth also provided attendees with the unique opportunity to hear from the industry’s most innovative and safety-conscious brains through the extensive program of free seminars on offer, presented by Workplace Access & Safety.

Move 4 Life’s Terry Wong presented an engaging seminar on How To Future-Proof An Ageing Workforce Against Sprain and Strain Injuries; Workplace Access & Safety tackled Safety Budget Success; and the Drinks, Drugs and Work don’t mix panel discussion touched on hot topics.

Safety in Action is the ideal platform to launch industrial safety products with the industry’s top movers and shakers all under one roof.

With Safety in Action, Informa Exhibitions Australia will continue to deliver the high-quality trade shows that have made these events the big-calendar dates for safety industry professionals.

From 2014, all exhibitions across Australia will be known as Safety in Action. One major three-day show will run in September each year, alternating between Sydney and Melbourne with shows in Perth and Brisbane held in June and April across alternating years.
