The Australian Forestry Standard Limited (AFS) anticipates that the revised AS4707–2014 will be published in the near future.
The Australian Standard for Chain of Custody for certified wood and forest products (AS4707) has been under review by a Standards Reference Committee for some time.
The requirements of the revised Standard have been agreed upon and will be even more closely aligned with the PEFC Standard for Chain of Custody of Forest Based Products – Requirements (PEFC ST 2002:2013).
Details such as the transition arrangements, requirements for certification bodies and training for auditors will be considered and addressed prior to publication of the revised Standard.
