The Building Designers of the Northern Territory (BDANT) has joined the National
Alliance of Building Designers as its fifth member association.
Welcoming Northern Territory to the group, National Alliance of Building
Designers (NABD) president Michael O’Sullivan said the peak representative body
continues to unify the nation’s building design association members.
Formed in July 2013 by the Building Designers Association of Queensland
(BDAQ) and the Building Designers Association of Victoria (BDAV), the National
Alliance of Building Designers has already opened its doors to the Building
Designers Association of Western Australia (BDAWA) and the Building Designers
Association of SA, in March and April 2014 (respectively). With the current
membership, the Alliance unifies in excess of 80% of the nation’s building
design association members.
The Alliance will now be able to work with their Northern Territory
colleagues to develop the framework for supporting building designers
throughout Australia.
The inaugural National Design Awards organised
by the National Alliance of Building Designers will be held in October 2014.
