    Intergrain Timber Vision Awards 2015

Intergrain Timber Vision Awards 2015 is now open for entry.

Celebrating projects that push the boundaries of normal timber application, the Intergrain Timber Vision Awards recognise the creativity of Australian and New Zealand design professionals

Intergrain Timber Vision Awards 2015 invites design professionals across the building and landscaping industries to enter innovative projects showcasing creative and visionary use of timber. This year’s awards program includes two new categories, Public Space and Student, to join Exterior Residential, Interior Residential, Exterior Commercial and Interior Commercial.

Intergrain Trade Brand Manager, Amanda Chalmers explains that the two additional categories present an opportunity to discover new and untapped timber projects. The Student category encourages emerging industry professionals to share creative ideas for timber application, while the Public Space category celebrates renowned public locations, validating timber as an integral material in local community design.

Leading industry professionals will form the judging panel with winners from each category receiving a $2,000 cash prize, Intergrain product valued at $3,000, and national exposure with an editorial feature in Architecture Australia magazine.

Entries have opened on Tuesday 7th April and will close on Tuesday 30th June. The winners will be announced in August at the Intergrain Timber Vision Awards Breakfast to be held in Melbourne.

2014 Intergrain Timber Vision Award winners included: The Commons (Brunswick, VIC) by Breathe Architecture (Commercial Exterior); Nishi (Canberra, ACT) by March Studio (Commercial Interior); Stonewood (Melbourne, VIC) by Breathe Architecture (Residential Exterior); and Lilyfield Warehouse (Lilyfield, NSW) by Virginia Kerridge Architects (Residential Interior).
