Leading interior fitout company Amicus Interiors has appointed Richard
Wiseman as its new Project Director for Queensland.
Richard brings to the table a strong background in sales, construction
and refurbishment, having worked on a number of high profile projects in both
Australia and the UK.
Beginning his career in the UK, Richard received his National Diploma in
Construction from the Colchester Institute before working for a joinery company
in London installing high-end residential fittings.
Moving to Queensland, Australia in 2001, Richard worked as a sales
consultant and project manager at BSF Shopfitting for over three years during
which time the business became the preferred contractor for Westfield
completing many of the company's fitouts throughout Queensland. The business
also undertook fitouts for Blink Optical, Bay Audio, The Tea Centre, Robina
Town Centre and Mt Ommaney Shopping Centre developments.
Richard then moved to Priority Building as a project manager selling and
completing a number of projects including the $4 million Bennelong/Downer EDI
refurbishment. Richard was also involved in the Da Vinci Business Park project
overseeing the completion of 14 fitouts in two years including Mitsubishi,
Ericsson, Baskin Robbins, Adagold and Pierlite.
Richard worked on the $2.3 million relocation of LG Super on Ann St in
central Brisbane as well as the $400,000 End of Trip Facility in South
Brisbane, which involved the design and fitout of a complex basement amenities
block for cyclists. Richard was also involved in the design and construct of
the Sunshine Coast University Hospital Project offices.
As the new Project Director for Queensland,
Richard looks forward to working with the Amicus team, tapping into its
excellent knowledge of the industry, modern systems and unique approach to
fitouts.
