Nominees have been
announced for the DETAIL Prize 2014 competition with 13 architectural projects
selected from a total of 343 entries from 41 countries around the world.
An international
jury will evaluate the nominated works and award the DETAIL Prize 2014 to the
best project. The renowned jury consists of Werner Frosch (Henning Larsen
Architects), Dorte Mandrup-Poulsen (Dorte Mandrup Arkitekter), Valerio Olgiati,
Enrique Sobejano (Nieto Sobejano Arquitectos) and Gerhard Wittfeld
(kadawittfeldarchitektur).
DETAIL readers also have
the opportunity to choose their favourite projects for the DETAIL Reader Prize
2014.
Seeking architecturally
challenging projects with innovative details, the DETAIL editorial team shortlisted
13 projects from the hundreds of entries received for the sixth edition of the
architectural awards. The 13 best entries can be viewed at www.detail.de.
DETAIL readers and
online users have until September 20, 2014 to click on their favourite projects.
All the projects are individually presented with images and descriptions. Each
online user has one vote.
The winners of the DETAIL
Prize 2014 and Readers' Prize will be announced in October, and both the
nominees and winners will be celebrated at the award ceremony on 20 November
2014 in Berlin. All interested parties will have the opportunity to visit the
DETAIL Prize exhibition at BAU 2015 in January.
