Holcim Australia, the CRC for Low Carbon Living and the University of New South Wales will be holding a keynote lecture and panel discussion, ‘Between Green and Sustainable Emerging Ideas for Asia and Australia’, on Thursday 27 February 2014.

The event will be presented by internationally renowned advocate for sustainable architecture, Dr Nirmal Kishnani, the Assistant Dean and Program Director at the School of Design and Environment at the National University of Singapore.

Kishnani is the author of ‘Greening Asia – Emerging Principles of Sustainable Design’, which is widely regarded as the first book to critique the rising tide of ‘green’ in Asia.

Following Kishnani’s presentation is a Q&A session panel, where industry and academic experts will place sustainable construction into the local context. The panel includes Professor Dennis Else, General Manager Safety & Health, Brookfield Multiplex; Professor Ken Maher, Fellow at HASSELL; and Lester Partridge, Industry Director and Global Leader of Advanced Design and Applied Research, AECOM.
