GHD leaders across Australia have taken the pledge for parity in support of 2016 International Women’s Day.

With the World Economic Forum predicting it will take until 2133 to achieve global gender parity, the #pledgeforparity campaign aims to encourage people to consider what they can do for gender equality.

Phil Duthie, GHD’s General Manager – Australia, comments that GHD, despite the historically male dominated industry, strives for gender balance by assisting both women and men to become technical innovators and business leaders.

Observing that driving change within the business and the industry at large is a journey that takes personal commitment, he added that each member of their Australian Leadership Team made their own pledge, in a united front on taking action.

For the past two years, GHD has been named an Employer of Choice for Gender Equality by the Commonwealth Government’s Workplace Gender Equality Agency (WGEA).
