Design: Made: Trade, the bespoke design event within the Decor + Design Show will be back for the second year, representing a curated forum of the country’s best creative talent.

Design: Made: Trade has become a hot spot for emerging designers, with the event acting as a platform for developing business partnerships and giving designers the chance for profile elevation.

This year’s showcase will include products from a diverse range of design disciples across textile, furniture, lighting and graphic design. Design: Made: Trade will be held at the iconic Melbourne Exhibition Centre from 10 to 13 July 2014 and will incorporate two new satellite start-up features, Design: Bazaar and Wall St.

Exhibitors at Design: Made: Trade include Greg and Brian from Sawdust Design, who design and produce unique handmade furniture, Anne-Clare from Anaca Studio, who creates a range of furniture and accessories using forestry certified timbers and other sustainable materials, and Brisbane based duo Rhys Thomas and Kristie Lahey from Nooko&co, whose Wedge, Tube and Fold collection offers Australian designed and made furniture.

Design: Bazaar is a new initiative, designed for small studios that are producing micro production runs with original design work across home interior products, ceramics, lighting, furniture and surface artists.

The Wall St offers a unique platform for textile designers and surface artists, looking to showcase large format visuals and original bespoke work.

Visitors to the Decor + Design exhibition will have the opportunity to extend their knowledge by attending the International Seminar Series, which this year will feature Design Colour Trends for Interiors 2015 and Beyond by Victoria Redshaw (UK), Ethical Green Design by Kari Whitman (USA) and How to Create Interiors with Personality by Kishani Perera (USA).

The Decor + Design Show 2014 will be held alongside Furnitex 2014 at the Melbourne Exhibition Centre, Southbank fromThursday 10 July to Sunday 13 July 2014.
