Boston Harbour is preparing for a fantastic floating mega-structure designed by Kevin Schopfer.

Boston Arcology (BoA), dubbed a ‘city within a city’, will house 15,000 people in hotels, offices, retail spaces, museums and a new city hall.

Buoyant concrete cells will allow the incredible structure to float. There will be no cars on the island, but elevators and moving walkways will make moving around easy.

Sky gardens every 30 floors will act as public space and the clutch of sustainable elements helping to achieve LEED building certification will include wind turbines, solar panels and water turbines.
