A new and free online tool is now available that that helps people choose the best sized rainwater tank for their needs.
The Alternative Technology Association (ATA) has developed the Tankulator with support from the Victorian Government’s Sustainability Fund has developed.
As well as providing postcode specific information on rainfall data, rebate information and regulations, the website includes a tank siting and installation guide to assist you in choosing the appropriate size, position and location for your rainwater tank.
As Sanctuary Magazine reports, the price of water in Australia is set to increase by at least 50 per cent over the next four years, and more households are expected to be harvesting rainwater.
